Hi, I'm Elizabeth Marshall



Elizabeth is a dedicated health professional who has made significant contributions to the community. She served for 10 years on the board of Healthy Kent, for 8 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Walker, and for 4 years on Governor Granholm's Committee to Take Michigan Smoke Free. She also facilitated smoking cessation classes for Smoke Stoppers and developed a health screening program for Michigan hunters to ensure their safety from cardiac issues while in the woods. Her commitment to promoting health and wellness is truly admirable.

Beth holds a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University, a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and an Associate's degree in Nursing.

Currently. Beth is a Clinical Research Coordinator in Women's Health, a position she started in 2006. In 2016, she retired, but after 6 years away from the career she loved, she returned.

Prior to becoming a Clinical Research Coordinator, Beth spent 4 years as a Hospice Director, and 24 years at Metro Health (now U of M West) first as a Staff Nurse, then as an ICU Staff Nurse, Invasive Radiology Nurse, Supervisor of Cardiology, Director of Cardiopulmonary, and finally as Director of Community Outreach and Development.

Elizabeth is a remarkable health professional who has dedicated her career to promoting health and wellness. Her contributions to the community are truly admirable.


Beth is dedicated to bringing positive change to our community. She envisions a future where every voice is heard, every individual is valued, and every neighborhood thrives. Her commitment to equity, justice, and progress drives her to work tirelessly for the betterment of our township and its residents.

Specifically, Elizabeth plans to prioritize:

  • Giving a voice to all township residents, including those that are not currently being acknowledged

  • Looking at the environmental impact on the entire community of proposed projects

  • Keeping the welcoming, safe, small-town community that we all chose to live in
